Welcome to I Solemnly Swear! ISS is an active, literate/advanced Marauders-era roleplay based in the Marauders' sixth year. Please sign up with your character's First and Last name in Titlecase (e.g., Lily Evans).

The beginning of the summer holidays are a much-needed break from the stress of schoolwork, exams, and the like. It has been a difficult year for everyone, what with the dark events happening during term, and the increasing panic and fear outside the school's walls. Now, with a fresh batch of graduates to go face the world, everybody must still be on their guard, because anything might happen, and everyone must be prepared to face it one way or another.

The line "is it madness...or brilliance?" can often be applied to almost every single word that leaves Professor Crocker's lips, every decision he makes, and every move he puts forth. More often than not, the popular vote is complete madness. Perhaps it's his years of studying abroad, going from the depths of Egypt, to Rome - even to the North Pole, at some point or other, although why his studies would lead him there is really only known by Professor Crocker himself. Still, while the man himself may beg ridicule due to how...batty he seems, for lack of a better word, there is often something about the way he holds himself, the knowledgeable spark in his eyes when he speaks, the way he seems to command the room from the instant he walks in, a bark to his tone as he greets his students that simply demands respect. The man might be completely unhinged, but there is not one person in the world better suited to teach the subject of Alchemy than him. The man, quite simply...is a genius.
